WELCOME TO THE ORCHESTRA!

A warm welcome to Baldock Community Orchestra

We look forward to seeing familiar faces this term and are keen to welcome new players any time of the year. 

We rehearse every Thursday evening at the Letchworth Free Church, Norton Way South, Letchworth Garden City from 8pm - 9.30pm during term times.  We're always on the lookout for more musicians to join us, so come and meet fellow musicians, new friends and join our community orchestra. 

We are particularly after the following players:

• Violin
  
• Viola
  
• Bassoon
  
• Trumpet
  

However, we do have vacancies in most sections. We're a very friendly group, and there's no worrying audition to go through - if you're interested in coming along to a rehearsal to try us out for free, please contact us.

As a rough guide, players should be Grade 4-5 upwards to get the most out of the orchestra. However, we do try and cater for a wide range of abilities.

NEXT CONCERT

Our next concert will be for the Baldock Festival on the 11th May 2025 (TBC)​.

OUT AND ABOUT IN THE COMMUNITY

A small group from the orchestra enjoy playing music for local communities. Get in touch if you would like us to visit and play at your care home, school or community event.
